One of the most awaited mobile phone of the year, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 was announced last night in London. Samsung Galaxy S3 is the successor of one of the best selling Android mobile phone in the market, that is the Galaxy S2. Samsung sold 20million Galaxy S2 since its launch.
So is it just another new Android phone in the market? No, it seems to be a milestone for both Samsung and Google’s Android OS. And no points for guessing, it can be the much awaited “iPhone killer”.

Smart Stay
The phone keeps a track of your eyeball and observes if you are looking at it or not. So that as long as you looking at it the display won’t turn off or dim like in the other phones. This feature will really help in playing games and watching videos smoothly without the hassle of pinging the phone regularly in order to keep it awake.
S-Voice
Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with its version of voice assistant just like SIRI. As per now S-Voice is not as well integrated as SIRI but it can do jobs like setting an alarm, volume control, checking weather, initializing the camera etc.
Direct Call
This feature is for those who don’t like texting much instead prefers calling the person directly. When you receive a SMS and you open it, you can take the phone directly next to your ear and the phone will make a call to the person whose message you are reading.
Burst Shoot photo mode
The 8 MP camera of the galaxy S3 will take 20-shots one after the other and will choose the best photo from them. You can also take photos simultaneously while shooting a video.
Smart Alert
The phone will let you know what you have missed since the last time you did something with the phone. As soon as you pick it up after a break the phone will vibrate if you have missed something during that period.
S Beam
Just tap with a NFC enabled phone in order to share something and the data starts transferring instantaneously.
Pop Up Play
You can keep the video player always on top while you are creating a text message or replying to an email.
Wireless Charging
This is like a dream come true, the phone can be charged by keeping it on a powermat which is an additional accessory.
