Today Samsung launched its much awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 in India at a press event in Delhi, India. This flagship smartphone from Samsung was the most talked about device since its announcement in London few weeks back and today we finally got a chance to get our hands on the device.
Talking about the look and feel, the whole device is made up of plastic like the previous versions of the Galaxy S series which makes the phone very light in weight but at the same time doesn’t give the phone a premium feel. But with a screen size of 4.8” it fits very well in your hand and enables one hand operations comfortably. The phone is available in two colours marble white and pebble blue.
On the hardware front the Samsung galaxy S3 gives a very tough competition to other smartphones in the market in this range. It is the first smartphone to use Samsung’s Exynos quad-core 1.4GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM. Galaxy S3 comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera And both of them can record HD videos which is something we liked. The phone has a 4.8” super AMOLED display which is sharp and crisp. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery which is indeed needed to run the feature packed phone. The phone runs on the latest ICS 4.0 operating system.
Other than the hardware the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a boast of unique features like S-Voice, pop up play, burst shot mode, S-Beam, smart dialer and much more which we have already covered a few weeks ago.
The phone has a very stiff competition with HTC One X which has a better look and feel to it and is priced lower than this. The pricing of the phone is something which is a big downer and off course like the other phones by Samsung you can expect fall in the prices in the coming time. So if you are really looking forward to buy this phone we would suggest you to wait until you get a good deal.
