Now Google will display a special Doodle on your birthday

by Himanshu Gupta on November 6, 2011

Google comes with a new Doodle on almost every occasion such as Christmas, Diwali, Independence  Day or Birthday of a world renowned person. Most of the times Google comes with really unique doodles and sometimes you can  even play  with them therefore it is something I eagerly look forward too on every such occasion. But now the same will be done by Google on your Birthday.

What is Google Doodle?

First let me just tell you what a Google Doodle really is. Google’s Logo which is shown on the home page of Google is known as the Google Doodle. Google has creative team specially for designing the Google Doodle.

Recently Google announced that if you have a Google Profile then you will see a Special Doodle on Google’s Home page (if you are logged in) on the date you have mentioned as your Birthdate in the profile. When you will hover the mouse over the Doodle it will say “Happy Birthday (your name)”.

This really makes a Google Account holder feel special. But how is Google benefited with this? Well, as usual we don’t know but as per my opinion it will encourage users to fill up their profiles. The information in the profiles is something which can work wonders for Google as it can customise your search results according to your age. It will also help Google  analyse the user’s trend and make the search results more accurate.

So what do you think? Impressed by this new updates from Google? Do you think something like this will make users complete their profiles and provide their personal information online?
