Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7.5 Lumia 800 Announced

Nokia once the market leader in the mobile phone world is now again aiming for the same tag with its new Windows Phone, Lumia, launch. After Android took over the market everybody was waiting for Nokia’s next big step as it was not all interested is using Android OS for there handset.

Yesterday, the at the Nokia World Conference, Nokia announced its first Widows Phone Lumnia 800 which runs on WP 7.5. Actually the phone is Nokia N9 which they launched the few months back with there MEEGO OS. The phone is looks great with the new Windows OS.

It is powered by 1.4Ghz snapdragon processor which is decent enough to handle high end features and apps. The processor is accompanied by 512MB RAM and has a 16GB internal storage without any memory card slot. It has 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution of 400×8000. The 8 mega pixel carl Zeiss camera is there to flaunt the great image quality which it is expected to generate. It can also record 720p HD videos but it lacks a secondary camera.

It has a powerful 1450mAh battery which is claimed to have a 335hrs of standby time. Nokia has rarely disappointed us with its battery claims as it packages it handsets with really powerful batteries.

Nokia Lumia 800 Price

The price of this Nokia windows phone is expected to be $585 exclusive of all taxes. It is said to hit the shelves in November but in Europe only. For other countries no date has been announced yet.

Being a Nokia and the New Windows OS fan, Lumia looks promising and can shake the market. Android is more on the Geeky side so this phone might attract the not so geeky community also. I think this is something the Nokia fans were looking for since a long time. Now lets see how this new age gadget fight goes with this new gadget in the ring.

May be this will be Nokia Best Phone with Windows 7 and the design and the Screen of the Phone is Awesome.
