Today Nokia India launched the much awaited Nokia PureView 808 with 41 MP camera sensor at a price of Rs. 33,899 or $650(approx). Nokia has also tied up with Dolby to make the smartphone capable of providing cinematic sound experience to the users.
We already had our hands on the Nokia PureView 808 few weeks back and today it was finally made available for the Indian consumers. Last time we were only allowed to play with the handset but today Nokia showcased the images and videos shot by the phone on a large screen which helped us judge the quality of the same. And I must say that we were really stunned by the quality of videos and images that the phone can capture.
The smartphone has Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology developed by Nokia itself which helps you capture professional looking images. It has two microphones which enables the smartphone to record CD-like audio quality. Nokia PureView 808 is capable of recording full HD 1080p videos with 4x zoom. The phone has a lot of features in its camera UI which will please the professional photographers and will help to get that perfect shot which you are looking for.
The phone runs on Nokia’s very own Symbian platform which is a easy to use interface just like the other Nokia phones in the market. But Symbian is an outdated operating system as compared to the other operating systems such as Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7.
The phone is currently available in black and white colours only. Nokia also assured that the PureView technology will be incorporated in other Nokia phones as well in the future such as the Nokia’s Windows Phone Series.
So if you are looking for a smartphone with an outstanding camera and easy to use interface then grab this phone as soon as possible and stayed tuned for the detailed review of the handset which will be coming soon once we receive the review unit from Nokia.
