I recently went to Singapore with friends. It’s the first time I have been in a foreign country so I can’t compare it with any country but India. And my opinion is that your hometown is best no matter how is it. But Singapore is really a nice place to visit. Here’s a list of places in Singapore you must see.
Singapore Flyer
Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel and is set to be one of Asia’s biggest tourist attractions. It gives you a spectacular view of the city in half an hour. The observatory has glass all over so you can enjoy each and every view possible.
Clarke Quay
This is the most happening place in Singapore. It is the best place to hangout at night as it has the best clubs, discos and restaurants in town. In my opinion you should visit that place every night especially Saturday nights.
Orchard Road
Orchard road is the retail and entertainment hub of the city. Almost all the famous brands are available in this area. It is like the center of the city. If you are staying in Singapore consider a hotel on Orchard Road or its vicinity.
Merlion
It is the Mascot of Singapore. This imaginary creature has a head of lion and body of fish. Best to visit at night with lights on all around.
Marin Bay Sands
This is a hotel with a ship shaped terrace known as Skypark. It has 55 floors and the view from the skypark at the top is breath taking.It is like standing on top of the world. The terrace also accommodates a swimming pool. The hotel has a casino too but it has a minimum 21 years age limit so i couldn’t make it. But it is a must visit and make sure you visit it at night. The city looks awesome at night.
Sentosa Island
Sentosa is 25 min ride from Singapore. There you should visit the universal studios, underwater world and watch the songs of the sea show. Songs of the Sea is a must watch show. It is a water, fire, lights show which you should not dare to miss. The Island has beaches and it is also the southernmost point of Asia.
Singapore is great city to visit and is very safe. The patrolling is done in civil dress so you’ll rarely see a police official but there is always an eye watching you.
