Its been a couple of weeks since the launch of Apple iPhone 4S. It is very much the same like iPhone 4 but the one feature which is catching everyone’s attention is the iPhone’s Virtual personal assistant SIRI which can talk with you in real time and handles the queries really well. But many of us either don’t want to buy an iPhone 4S just for SIRI or it is not available to many of us.
So what to do now? Here are some Android mobile phones that can help. You can download the following Android Apps from Android Market and experience a virtual assistant like Apple’s SIRI.
Speaktoit
This is the best alternative to SIRI. No other app on Android Market can match this. The input can be given by voice as well as by text. The assistant speaks out the answers and the same is visible as text on the screen. It can identify the human voice very well. It has basic features such as creating text messages, updating Facebook’s status, checking E-Mails and much more. But not only that it also answers some personal question too so you can go and play with it as it responds pretty well most of the times.
Vlingo
This is another great voice app. It can do things like making calls, creating text messages, updating status on social networking sites etc. The voice recognition is above average. But as compared to the 1st one it doesn’t respond to the commands, its just does the work as per your command and that’s it. This app is available for free on the Android Market. The interface is easy and great to work on. This is app is also available for iPhone, Blackberry.
Edwin
This another speech to speech virtual assistant. But not that impressive as the previous two Android Apps. But it was not very bad either. During our usage it was able to do some weather updates, some app launching but it can’t understand a lot of things so you have to keep repeating it till it gets to know what you are exactly looking for. But you can give it a shot for fun. Its free and available on the Android Market.
So try these apps and let us know your experiences with the same. If you are using any other app for speech to speech assistants do share with us below.
